What do I talk about?
We will begin wherever you are at. I will stay with you and listen carefully for what is troubling you. We will work on integrating your feelings with your thinking. As I get to you know you, we will also explore feelings that are outside of your conscious awareness, but still greatly impacting your experience of life. You do not need to come to session “prepared” and no topics are taboo.
What can I expect to gain?
A stronger sense of self.
Increased self-compassion.
A clearer understanding of your behavioral and emotional patterns. Examination of your attempts to cope and an understanding what is useful versus what no longer serves you and why.
A sense of aliveness.
Do you provide couples or family therapy?
I do not currently offer therapy for couples or families. However, I am absolutely willing to meet with a friend or family member if the client feels collateral information is relevant to treatment.
